CR SUMMIT CLUB STAFF & HORSES Annie B. Robbins: Equine Activities Director will be supervising our Beginner & Intermediate level students during our 2009 Riding Season. She will be instructing our nine Summer Riding Camp Sessions and will be providing our member students with "pre-pony" Club guidance throughout the season. Annie's riding sessions provide our members with basic horsemanship fundamentals and skill building techniques designed to promote "rider confidence" for riders of all ages. Annie is a C-2 Steamboat Springs Pony Club gal!
*Becky Thayer: Special Clinics Director has been teaching English & Western riding in the Steamboat Springs area for over 30 years. Becky instructs beginners, intermediate and advanced riders. She has a special flair for teaching our riders how to improve and enhance their hunter and jumper skill set. Although she grew up as a cowgirl....her interests have grown into jumping and dressage. She also enjoys foxhunting, trail riding, and colt training.
*Aileen Sandstedt: Website Administrator & Program Coordinator responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing both Riding Club Activities and daily maintenance of CR Summit Riding Club's interactive website. Aileen together with her partner Kent has been been involved and committed to the Equine Community in Steamboat Springs since 1999. *Kent Sandstedt: Riding Club Supervisor. Kent is responsible for overseeing all Riding Club Activities and infrastructure improvement programs throughout the season. Kent together with his partner Aileen have been involved and committed to the Equine Community in Steamboat Springs since 1999. *Ali Sandstedt: Assistant Instructor to Equine Activities Director. Ali is one of our student riders who not only loves to ride but also loves to jump! Ali hails from Hinsdale, IL and has been riding since she was 12 years old. This is Ali's second year assisting at CR Summit Riding Club and we are very pleased to welcome her back this year!
*Alicia Bernat: Alicia hails from Denver. She has a passion for anything involving horses and assists our instructor's with our youth programs throughout our riding season. Alicia also assists CR Summit with creative graphic design solutions and website assistance throughout our riding season.
*Alexis Mazzetta: Alexis hails from Denver as well. Alexis provides overall horse care three weeks during our riding season and also assists our instructor's with our youth programs.
*Indigo: 15.1 hand gelding, Sorrel Paint with blaze blue eye, well schooled, youth friendly in size and demeanor, hails from Kremmling.
*Winchester: 16 hand gelding, Bay Quarter horse, well schooled, youth friendly, likes to lead, hails from Kremmling.
*Buddy: 15 hands Chestnut Arabian Gelding, very well schooled, hails from Elizabeth, Colorado-Pomerols Khan's bloodline. *Comet: 14 hand, gelding Bay Quarter Horse, sturdy, well schooled former Pony Club horse that hails from the neighborhood....yet another local boy!
*Pie: 14.1 hand gelding, Bay Quarter horse, well schooled in both arena and round pen, sweet as "pumpkin pie" will be hailing into Steamboat Springs this May (with the rest of the herd!) having spent a lifetime in the lovely Carolinas with Ms. Mary Lynn!
*Pumpkin: 10 +/- hand Shetland Pony, very gentle, mild mannered, registered pony, schooled well in both the arena/round pen and on trails by one of our former instructor, officially joining our family the third week in May. Yes it is true.... ...we now have a “Pumpkin Pie” in our herd!
*Billy Bob: 10 hand Pony Gelding, drives well with the young students, and hails from Hayden (one of our local boys!).
